Rice Cakes Via 1800 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3 eggs, beaten
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    flour
Preparation
    Combine rice, eggs, vanilla and nutmeg.
    Mix well.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Add enough flour to make a dough that folds together.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls into hot fat (360\u00b0) and fry until golden brown.
    Drain on paper.
    Sprinkle or roll in sifted powdered sugar.
    Serve hot.
