Hot Blueberry Tea Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. fresh blueberries (or thawed frozen blueberries, drained)
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together; add eggs. Beat vigorously. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
    Add, in about 3 portions, alternately with milk. Beat only until smooth. Fold in blueberries. Pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 400\u00b0 about 25 minutes. Makes 9 to 12 servings.
