Cinnamon Batter-Dipped French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    vegetable oil
    2 c. Bisquick baking mix
    1 1/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    10 slices firm/thick bread
Preparation
    Heat oil in 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Beat remaining ingredients except bread with wire whisk until only small lumps remain.
    Dip bread into batter; drain excess batter back into bowl.
    Cook over medium high heat until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes on each side; drain.
    Serve warm with syrup or powdered sugar if desired.
