Rich Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 1/2 c. milk
    4 egg yolks, beaten
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch in saucepan.
    Stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Boil for one minute.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in a little over half of this mixture into beaten egg yolks.
    Blend into mixture in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Cool.
    Add vanilla.
