Chocolate Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 German chocolate cake mix
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    14 oz. pkg. caramels
    1 stick butter or margarine
    6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Mix the cake mix (dry), 1/3 cup evaporated milk, butter and nuts.
    Press half of mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 6 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
    Pour over top a prepared mixture of melted caramels and the remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Sprinkle with remaining dough mixture and bake an additional 15 to 18 minutes at 350\u00b0.
