Aunt Jane'S Lemon Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tsp. lemon extract
3 sticks butter (1 1/2 c.)
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream together the sugar and butter, then beat in the eggs one at a time.
Sift the flour and baking powder together.
Add alternately with the milk, then add extract.
Pour into a 10-inch tube pan greased and floured.
Place in cold oven.
Heat oven to 350\u00b0 as cake bakes.
Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Do not open oven door during baking.
Cook cake in pan, then invert on a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
