Old Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add flour and sugar; mix well.
    Batter will be stiff.
    Place in 9 x 13-inch glass pan.
    Poke holes with fork once mix is in pan.
    Heat the first 3 minutes on bottom rack of oven, then for 1 hour, in slow 275\u00b0 oven.
    Cut into squares as soon as out of oven.
