Venison And Wild Rice Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 lb. venison, cut in cubes
    2 qt. water
    2 yellow onions, peeled and quartered
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. wild rice
Preparation
    Place venison, water and onions in large kettle and simmer (uncovered) for 3 hours until meat is tender.
    Mix in salt, pepper and rice.
    Cover kettle and simmer 20 minutes.
    Stir; uncover until rice is cooked and meat absorbed.
    Crusty bread desired!
