Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 c. pecans, chopped
    1 stick margarine
    2 eggs
    1 c. unsifted self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. crystallized cherries
    1/2 lb. crystallized pineapple
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, flour and vanilla.
    Grease pan.
    Pour in nuts and spread.
    Spoon flour mixture over nuts, then layer fruit over mixture.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
