Chinese Plum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (17 oz.) can purple plums
    1/4 c. minced onion
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Remove pits from plums.
    Puree plums and syrup in blender. In saucepan, saute onion in oil until softened.
    Add remaining ingredients including pureed plums and cook until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.
    Use to glaze pork or poultry.
    Store in covered jar in refrigerator.
