Texas Black-Eyed Pea Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cooked black-eyed peas
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. corn oil
    2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
    3/4 c. cream-style corn
    1 lb. hamburger, browned and drained
    1 c. white corn meal
    1 to 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs
    1/4 tsp. sage
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Add cheese last.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0. Pour into greased baking pan.
    Bake 45 minutes or until done, lightly browned on top.
