Lazy Wife'S Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    onion
    celery
    dill
    4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. pickling salt
    1 qt. white vinegar
    1 pt. water
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers lengthwise in slices.
    Pack in jars with onion, 2 or 3 stalks of celery and dill.
    Heat sugar, salt, vinegar and water.
    Pour over pickles.
    Put lids and rings and place in a hot water bath until water cools.
    Ready in 3 weeks.
