Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. rice
1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic
2 lb. shrimp or sausage and chicken
1 c. chopped tomatoes
3 c. stock
2 bay leaves
thyme
parsley
salt, pepper and cayenne to taste
Preparation

Saute onion, peppers and garlic.
Add bay leaves, thyme and parsley for 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and stock or water; bring to a boil.
Add choice of meat, rice and seasonings.
Cook 45 minutes.
Serve hot with French bread.
