Alabama Crab Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. crab meat
    1/4 c. crushed crackers or dry bread crumbs
    1 white onion, minced
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. Old Bay seafood seasoning
    butter
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until transparent, set aside to cool. Gently combine all ingredients in bowl. Form into patties about 3/4 inch thick and 3 inches in diameter. Dust with small amount of crumbs. Fry in pan over medium heat, turning once. Serve hot. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
