Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. diced, unpeeled Jonathan or red Delicious apples
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (use the juice only)
    1 c. chopped salt peanuts
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, pineapple juice, egg and vinegar in a saucepan.
    Simmer to thicken.
    Let cool.
    Add Cool Whip to the thickened mixture and mix well.
    Add apples and half of the peanuts (if necessary you may need to add another apple).
    Put in serving bowl and top with remaining peanuts.
    Chill, serve and enjoy!
