Winter Squash - Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. beef stew
    2 Tbsp. oil
    4 sliced onions
    2 1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. basil
    3 potatoes
    2 1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1 1/2 c. peas
    2 c. squash, bite size
    1/2 c. tomato paste
Preparation
    Put meat in flour and brown with the onions.
    Add water and seasonings.
    Simmer for 50 minutes.
    Add potatoes, carrots and peas.
    Cook 15 minutes more.
    Add squash and tomato paste; continue cooking for another 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
