Swedish Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. raisins
1 c. cold water
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

In a saucepan, mix together the first 4 ingredients, letting it barely come to a boil; remove from heat and cool.
Add the dry ingredients and mix.
Bake until done at 350\u00b0 in a greased, lined bread pan.
