Liver Dumpling Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef liver, ground
    1 small loaf stale bread or croutons
    2 eggs
    salt
    pepper
    nutmeg
    very little sage
    1 tsp. minced parsley
    flour
    3 qt. rich beef stock (broth from where meat was cooked)
Preparation
    Soak bread in milk and squeeze dry.
    Crumble into ground liver.
    Add other ingredients.
    Add enough flour to make a stiff batter.
    Drop dumplings in boiling beef broth.
    Cook slow for 20 to 30 minutes, then serve as soup.
    You can also add carrots while you are cooking the broth.
