Barbara Armstrong'S Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine or liquid shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt (may use less)
1 1/2 c. flour
sugar
cinnamon
Preparation

Mix in order.
Pour into 8 x 8-inch greased pan.
Sprinkle sugar on top until it does not get damp from the batter, then add cinnamon to suit your taste.
Bake 20 minutes in 425\u00b0 oven.
If you double the recipe, bake only 3 to 5 minutes longer.
Barbara says the secret to this cake staying moist is not overbaking.
