Scotch Oatmeal Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. rolled oats (quick)
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. almond flavoring
Preparation

Cream butter.
Add sugar and salt.
Add flour.
Blend.
Add almond flavoring.
Add oats.
Press onto cookie sheet to form rectangle 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into strips length and breadth of little finger.
Separate cookies.
Bake about 20 minutes at 350\u00b0. Leave on pan until cool.
Very festive if decorated with frosting rosettes.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
