Classic Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. light or dark corn syrup
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. pecan halves
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    In large bowl, stir eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine and vanilla until well blended.
    Stir in pecans.
    Pour into pastry shell.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.
    Cool on wire rack.
    If desired, serve with whipped cream.
