Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Mix first 4 ingredients in heavy saucepan.
    Put over low heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
    Cook, without stirring, to soft ball (236\u00b0).
    Cool to lukewarm.
