Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sweet milk
    2 c. cherries
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Cream sugar
    and
    shortening;
    add
    eggs and beat well. Add salt
    and
    baking
    powder
    to sifted flour.
    Add flour and sweet milk alternately; add vanilla.
    Pour batter in a greased pan.
    Put cherries
    over
    batter
    and bake at 350\u00b0 until cake tester comes out clean, approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
