Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    4 lb. cabbage, shredded
    4 c. water
    2 c. canned whole tomatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Melt butter in large saucepan or Dutch oven.
    Add onions; saute until tender.
    Stir in flour, blending well.
    Add cabbage, mixing well.
    Slowly add water, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil.
    Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar, lemon juice and caraway seed.
    Simmer on low heat for at least one hour.
    Serves 12.
