Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream shortening, brown sugar, molasses and egg until fluffy. Sift together flour, soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves; stir into molasses mixture.
    Form into small balls and roll in sugar.
    Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
    Makes 5 dozen.
