Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. light Karo syrup
    1/4 c. light or dark molasses
    1 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. margarine
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix the syrup, molasses, sugar, vinegar, salt and margarine in a 2-quart saucepan.
    Stirring constantly, bring the mixture to a boil over a medium heat.
    Boil gently until the mixture reaches the hard crack stage (290\u00b0 on a candy thermometer).
    Add the soda and mix well.
    Pour the foamy mixture over 6 to 8 cups of popped popcorn.
    Stir well as you pour the mixture on the corn.
