Fruit Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 oz. jar maraschino cherries
    1 can crushed pineapple
    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    Cool Whip
    1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
    pecans or walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cut up cherries; mash cream cheese in (do not drain cherries), then add crushed pineapple, Cool Whip and marshmallows.
    Then stir and add nuts.
