Batter Fried Fish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. white fish
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg, separated
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Cut fish into serving size pieces, in a bowl.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
    Drop egg yolk in center and add water and shortening.
    Mix well.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
