Sourdough Starter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 c. warm water
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a large bowl (not aluminum), dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water. Add sugar.
    Beat
    in
    2
    cups
    warm
    water, flour and salt with beater, mixer or whisk to make smooth batter.
    Cover with damp cloth and put in warm place
    for
    2
    to
    3
    days or until foamy and light.
    Stir several times a day.
    Starter
    is
    now ready
    to
    use
    or may now be stored in refrigerator in
    a
    glass jar with lid.
    Feed regularly.
    A wide mouth jar works well and I feed every time I use some, which is approximately 2 times a week.
