Jalapeno-Cheese Corn Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    vegetable oil or cooking spray for greasing molds
    1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
    1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    1 large egg
    1 c. low-fat milk
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Grease two 7-stick corn stick molds; heat molds for about 5 minutes.
