Jumbo Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. shortening
2 c. white sugar
3 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil raisins in water for 5 minutes and cool.
Beat shortening, white sugar and eggs until creamy.
Sift dry ingredients.
Combine with raisin mixture and cream mixture, vanilla and nuts.
Drop by tablespoon on greased cookie sheet, leaving room to flatten with fork dipped in water.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
