Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Cornmeal
    1 c. Sifted flour
    3 tsp. Baking powder
    1 tsp. Salt
    1 Tbsp. Sugar
    2 Eggs
    1 1/4 c. Milk
    3 Tbsp. Melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Beat the eggs, add milk and shortening, stir until blended. Stir quickly into the flour mixture. Bake at 425\u00b0f. 220\u00b0c. gas mark 7 for 20-22 minutes.
