Wild Rice Chicken Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cubed chicken
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. long grain wild rice
    1/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. chopped onions
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of black pepper
    1 c. milk or half and half
    1/3 c. diced pimento
    1/3 c. fresh parsley
    1/4 c. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Cook rice according to directions.
    While rice is cooking, melt butter in large saucepan.
    Add onion and cook over low heat until tender.
    Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Gradually stir in milk and chicken broth.
    Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Stir in chicken, pimento, parsley, almonds and cooked rice.
    Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole.
    Bake uncovered at 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
