Golden Skillet Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. flour
2 to 4 Tbsp. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
In cast iron skillet, melt shortening in oven. Combine dry ingredients. Add milk and egg.
Mix until blended.
