Round Steak With Rich Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. round steak (1-inch thick)
    1/3 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 envelope dry onion soup mix
    1/2 c. water
    1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
Preparation
    Sprinkle meat with flour and pound into meat.
    Cut meat into serving size pieces.
    Brown meat in shortening, approximately 15 minutes.
    Sprinkle onion soup mix over meat.
    Mix water and soup. Pour over meat.
    Cover tightly and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until tender.
    (Sometimes a little water must be added during cooking.)
