Potato Casseroleroswell, New Mexico - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2 lb. pkg. frozen hash browns
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 pt. sour cream
    10 oz. American cheese, grated
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 can cream of chicken soup (undiluted)
    1/2 c. melted butter or margarine
Preparation
    Defrost hash browns.
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Pour into buttered baking dish.
    Top with 2 cups crushed cornflakes mixed with 1/4 cup melted butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Can add canned chicken or ham cut in pieces.
