7-Layer Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 c. canned whole kernel corn, drained; sprinkled with salt and pepper
    1 can tomato sauce and 1/2 can water
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1/2 c. finely chopped green pepper
    3/4 to 1 lb. ground beef, uncooked
    salt and pepper to taste
    4 strips bacon
Preparation
    Place rice, corn, tomato sauce and water in layers in a 2 quart baking dish with
    a
    tight fitting lid.
    Pour over all onion, pepper, ground beef,
    salt and pepper.
    Pour second can of tomato sauce and 1/4 can
    water
    over all.\tPut 4 strips of bacon to cover meat.
    Bake
    in
    a
    preheated
    350\u00b0
    oven for 1 hour, covered.
    Uncover and bake about 30 minutes longer until bacon is crisp.
    Double for larger amount.
