Holiday Yams - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. melted butter/margarine
salt to taste
4 or 5 medium yams or sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
Preparation

Combine sugars and cornstarch; blend well.
Stir in orange juice, butter and salt.
Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
Place yams in a lightly greased 2-quart casserole dish.
Add orange sauce.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
