"Kota Kapama" - Greek Stewed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (4 lb.) chicken
    1/4 lb. butter
    1/2 c. tomato paste
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/4 c. wine
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cut chicken into serving pieces and sprinkle with lemon juice, cinnamon, salt and pepper.
    Brown chicken in butter.
    Mix tomato paste with water in large saucepan; bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and place browned chicken in tomato.
    Pour butter through strainer over chicken and tomato.
    Add wine and cook about 1 hour until rice is tender.
    This chicken is very good served with macaroni, rice or potatoes.
