Walnut Jewel Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. hot water
    1 (8 1/4 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    cold water (for amount see directions)
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. diced celery
    2/3 c. chopped raw cranberries
    2 apples, chopped
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin and salt in hot water.
    Drain pineapple, saving syrup.
    Combine syrup and lemon juice; add enough cold water to measure 1 2/3 cups liquid.
    Add this to gelatin mixture. Chill until mixture begins to thicken slightly.
    Fold in walnuts, celery, cranberries, crushed pineapple and chopped apples.
    Turn into oiled 1 1/2-quart mold and chill until firm, at least 4 hours.
    Unmold on lettuce leaves.
