Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 oz. red food coloring paste
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Mix food coloring with cocoa.
Cream sugar and shortening together.
Add whole eggs and color paste.
With mixer, blend in buttermilk, flour, salt and vanilla.
Remove from mixer and add by hand the vinegar and soda.
Bake in 2 well-greased and floured 8-inch layer pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
