Baked Eggplant Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 eggplant
    soft butter or oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    grated onion
    lemon juice or basil
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Cut eggplant crosswise into slices 1/2-inch thick.
    Spread both sides with mixture of remaining ingredients.
    Place on baking sheet; bake until tender, about 12 minutes, turning once.
    Garnish with chopped parsley or chervil.
