Jack Robinson'S Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs (unbeaten)
2 egg whites
brown sugar
nuts
Preparation

Sift the flour; measure and add baking powder, salt and sugar. Sift again in a large mixing bowl.
Add shortening, milk and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes with an electric mixer at low speed.
Add unbeaten eggs.
Beat 1 minute longer.
Pour into an 8 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 2-inch pan which has been greased.
