Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion
    1 green pepper, diced
    4 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    2 Tbsp. flour
    4 large carrots
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 lb. lentils
    2 qt. water
Preparation
    Cook onion and green pepper in olive oil until golden.
    Stir in flour and cook until bubbling.
    Do not brown.
    Add tomatoes, carrots, salt, lentils and water.
    (Add lentils right from package.)
    Cook, covered, over low heat for 2 hours.
    Stir occasionally.
    Serves 6 to 8.
