Bread And Butter Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 slices white bread, toasted
2 sticks margarine
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. milk
raisins and nutmeg (optional)
Preparation

Break bread into bite size pieces and put in pan of melted butter.
Stir until all butter is soaked into bread.
Beat eggs; add sugar and blend well.
Add vanilla and milk.
Stir until all ingredients are well mixed.
Put buttered bread into baking dish and pour liquid mix over bread mixture.
Mash bread down into liquid a few minutes to soak up some of the milk.
Sprinkle raisins and nutmeg on top if you wish.
Bake in 400\u00b0 oven until firm.
