Ingredients

1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
1 qt. fresh strawberries, washed, remove stems and slice
1 c. granulated sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. cold water
2 or 3 drops of red food coloring
whipped cream or topping
Preparation

Place sliced strawberries in a bowl; add sugar and lemon juice. Stir to dissolve sugar. Allow to sit 15 or 20 minutes and make a juice.
