Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dark brown sugar
    2 2/3 c. water
    1 qt. vodka
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. instant coffee
    2 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Bring brown sugar,
    white sugar and water to a rapid boil. With wire whisk, stir in instant coffee.
    Pour into a jug and add 1 quart vodka and vanilla.
    Cover tightly and let stand on counter for 2 weeks.
    Stir a bit each day.
    Makes 7 1/2 cups.
    Serve over ice or in Black Russian Cake.
