Teen'S Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (8 oz.) boxes dates, chopped and pitted
    5 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    1 bottle vanilla (1 oz.)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and eggs.
    Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Sift over nuts and dates until well coated.
    Combine with sugar and egg mixture.
    Add vanilla to mixture.
    Bake in loaf pan 1 hour and 20 minutes at 275\u00b0.
