Congo Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. brown sugar
1 c. walnuts
2 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
2/3 c. shortening
3 eggs
6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation

Mix all of the ingredients with hands.
Spread in ungreased pan (9 1/2 x 13-inch) and bake for 1/2 hour or until edges are brown.
Cool 10 minutes before cutting into bars.
Makes 12 good sized bars.
