Ingredients

3 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers
1 3/4 to 2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/3 c. water
1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Roll out vanilla wafers with a rolling pin until smooth and fine.
Sift the powdered sugar and cocoa.
Mix remaining ingredients.
Roll into balls and dip into melted chocolate chips and shortening mixture.
Put in refrigerator overnight.
Serve cold.
